Franck-Steier Price Ltd (FSP)’s Ben Blackwall recently competed in the Property Triathlon 2008. The annual competition was held again at Dorney Lake in Eaton and comprised a 750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run. The event is sponsored by Property Week and King Sturge and always promises a great turnout from those within the industry. This year was no exception with over 2000 people competing in the individual and relay events.
The weather did not help the competitors with persistent rain throughout the whole day however Ben completed the course in a very respectable time of 1 hr 20 mins and 24 secs coming 326 out of the 1100 people taking part in the individual competition.
The event raised over £100,000 for Cancer Research UK and the Children’s Trust.
Having had to give up rugby due to a serious shoulder injury Ben is now planning on competing in more triathlons next year with talk of an Iron Man challenge following that. Watch this space…..!
