With two thirds of Franck-Steier Price Ltd (FSP) either injured or unavailable it was left to Andy Price to represent the company at the 2nd Proper-tee Cup event. The Ryder Cup style competition is held between the Investment and Office agents of Birmingham. Captaining the side for 2012 Andy kept faith with many of the 2011 team who narrowly lost 5 ½ – 4 ½ in last year’s match (mainly due to the lack of viable alternatives!).
On one of the few sunny days of the year the pairings were announced and sent off after breakfast in foursomes matches. At lunch it was all level. The afternoon Fourballs were greeted with a torrential storm on the back nine which provided a convenient excuse for many who lost their matches. In the end, for the second year running, the Office Agents ran out winners by the same 5 ½ – 4 ½ scoreline.
Franck-Steier Price Ltd (FSP) certainly didn’t let the Investment Agents down with Andy winning both his matches having benefited from playing with the ever dependable Colin Jarvie from Jarvie Bedhall in the morning and afternoon.
