It has been a busy and tiring 4 weeks for the Franck-Steier Price Ltd (FSP) team as Ben and James got on their bikes and cycled over 500 miles in the month!
The pair started on the 7th September when they were invited on the Prologis 100. A 103 miles cycle ride through the north Cotswold countryside starting and finishing at Ardencote Manor in Claverdon. They joined over 100 other riders in raising money for Prologis’ charity of choice; Land Aid. Over £7,000 was raised on the day and that has now taken Prologis’ total raised through their annual cycling challenges to over £250,000.
James continued his cycling on Sunday 23rd September as he took part in the Velo Birmingham. A 100 miles closed road event that left Birmingham and snaked its way through Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcester and then back into Birmingham. Over 15,000 cyclists took part in the event which involved over 7,000 ft of climbing.
The pair finished their cycling for the month on 5th October when they were invited as guests of LaSalle Investment Management to join them on their London to Birmingham bike ride. Having been very lucky with the weather on the previous rides, it was not the case this time as the boys cycled 112 miles into a constant head wind! They joined 45 riders in tackling route and enjoyed a well-deserved beer and dinner at a drinks event in Birmingham, hosted by LaSalle, that evening.
In total the boys cycled 530 miles, spending a combined 33 hours 54 minutes in the saddle, climbed 19,473 ft and burned 24,000 calories. Let’s just hope they have some energy left for that busy final quarter of the year!
