Franck-Steier Price Ltd (FSP)’s Ben Blackwall successfully completed the Robin Hood Marathon in Nottingham on Sunday 12 September 2010. He finished in a time of 3 hours 49 minutes which was well within his target of four hours.
Despite the excruciating pain Ben endured over the last 6 miles he was delighted to finally cross the finish line. Ben was running the marathon in memory of his aunt Clare Blackwall who sadly died after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Ben was also running to raise money for the Nightingale Macmillan Unit at The Royal Derby Hospital who cared for Clare in her final weeks. To date he has raised over £2,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Ben comments ‘I would like everyone who supported me in this challenge and for the generous donations given to Macmillan Cancer Support from clients, agents, friends and family.’
